Scientific literature usually mentions G. Mydel in connection with the Chukotka Expedition of 1868-1870, with its ethnographic studies, searches for remains of mammoth species, descriptions of permafrost processes. We carry out a search for new records to throw light on Mydel's mapping performance, which has not been yet the point of scientific studies.
