This article is a review of the book of the Uzbek economist, academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, director of the Tashkent branch of the Russian Economic University named after G. V. Plekhanova - Kalandar Khodzhaevich Abdurakhmanov. The book K. Kh. Abdurakhmanov is a fundamental textbook on labor economics. The difference between this textbook and the rest is the thorough elaboration of a large layer of information, which is reflected in the volume of the textbook, as well as the structured presentation of a phased understanding of the essence of labor economics in scientific reality available to the reader. The book summarizes not only the experience of Western economists, but also a great emphasis is also placed on the history of the development of economic relations in the east. In the textbook, great emphasis is placed on the current situation of the labor economy in particular, the Uzbek reality examines the development trends of the modern labor economy. Purpose of the research: to give an objective assessment of the book. Research methods: content analysis is the main research method. The textbook is of interest from the point of view of a new, modern understanding of the development of the economy and labor relations. This textbook makes a significant contribution to the study of the problems and prospects of the labor economy.
