In the modern world, politics is becoming more and more public. Of course, one of the main factors determining this trend is the development of new means of communication, in particular, social networks. Social networks are becoming the main tool for communicating politicians with a young audience, and to achieve the goals of this communication, certain communication strategies are used to present the politician's linguistic persona and create an image of this politician among a young audience within the framework of political Internet discourse. The paper attempts to identify, analyze and explain the main and most successful strategies, tactics, linguistic means and rhetorical techniques used by Russian politicians of different ages, territorial affiliations and political views when maintaining personal accounts on social networks and communicating with a young audience.
