The purpose of the article is to demonstrate the contradictions between value orientations of high school students in the field of employment, which can be diagnosed through the use of network method. Orientations about values-means paradoxically interact with each other. In particular, this applies to the desire to obtain high results while underestimating the role of professionalism, as well as such values of work as consciousness and discipline, computer literacy, which "fall" out of the value network. It is shown that the transfer of values of new forms of employment through the teacher-student line is deformed. Conclusions about advantages and limitations of network diagnostics of labor values of high school students are drawn, and also some directions of new developments on monitoring of labor values of high school students on the basis of network approach are presented.
