Almost all countries of the world found themselves at the end of the XX-th century in a deep crisis in theory and practice of welfare state, concept of sustainable development and economic growth and are forced to modify these concepts under the influence of globalization processes, the development of the information society, environmental, demographic, educational and cultural turbulences. The purpose of the study is to develop a socio-economic mechanism for achieving sustainable development goals in both developed and developing economies (including the Russian Federation) at the corporate level. Research objectives and findings: preservation the welfare state' fundamental values; assessment of a number of global investor's initiatives that have proposed a paradigm for socially responsible green and infrastructure investment at the national and international levels; the role of global players in the global financial market (insurance companies and pension funds), developing complex integrated financial products in the process of financial convergence, which allows achieving sustainable development goals in developed and emerging market economies. In light of preservation and change of fundamental values of the welfare state, the problem arises in processing a socio-economic and culturally-oriented mechanism for achieving the goals of sustainable development and self-sustaining economic growth with the help of institutional investors: insurance companies, pension, charitable and endowment funds, developing a socially-responsible green and infrastructure investment.
