The article is devoted to the study of the meaning and functions of biblical precedent phenomena in the headlines of newspaper texts, taking into account the constructive features of the journalistic style- a combination of expression and standard, which implement the functions of informativeness, evaluation and impact. The analysis of biblical precedent phenomena is based on the structure of the linguistic personality, which allows us to establish the nuclear and transformed meaning of the studied units in the dynamic aspect in the conditions of their use for pragmatic purposes.
