Based on a critical discourse analysis of publications in the press of Venezuela, Mexico and Chile, this article analyzes the features of the verbal representation of Russia's international political image as a mental model implemented in various speech images and forms. The similarities and differences in the use of image-forming tactics, due to the peculiarity of the political situation in each country and the ideological orientation of a particular periodical, are revealed.
