The rapid development in the 21st century of cinema, television, video, computer, Internet technologies, their mutual influence and mutual enrichment, their cheapness, and general accessibility made audio-visual arts and mass media democratic and popular among the public. Convergence processes in the field of cinema, video, television and computer, Internet technologies have significantly enriched the languages of screen arts. This synthesis gave rise to new genres and flame formations, significantly expanded the audience base, rejuvenating it. In the given article its authors, who are researchers of cinema and television, directors, professors consider processes of convergence of aesthetics and technologies in audio-visual arts in culturological, historical, practical and pedagogical aspects. Powerful development of modern technologies, their intrusion into the structures of the audio-visual arts, their mutual influence leads not only to artistic victories, but is often the result of the author's ill-considered ideological, artistic and technological concepts. These processes can be perceived as a serious challenge for creators of audio-visual arts. The general accessibility, mass availability of technologies has opened up a huge number of people, especially young people, to artistic creativity, the results of which are more often they show up on the Internet. However, these general accessibility and democracy have caused problems of aesthetic and moral irresponsibility. The authors of the article not only raise this serious problem, but also, relying on their own creative and pedagogical experience, suggest ways of possible solutions.
