Modern technologies of virtual (VR) and augmented (AR) reality have a significant impact on many areas of public life, including physical culture. This article is devoted to a review of research in the field of the effectiveness of adaptive physical culture programs using virtual and augmented reality. The research method is the analysis of modern publications in journals included in the international citation databases in 2018-2021. The results of the study allow the main advantages and disadvantages of introducing VR and AR technologies into adaptive physical education programs for people with disabilities.
