The main goal of this study was to establish the relative chronology of decoration of cheekpieces and of the funerary rite related with placing of elements of chariot in the grave or near it. The investigation was carried out over six units. Each of the latter manifested variability both in space and in time. As a result, it proved possible to distinguish three chronological groups of which one was of a transitional character. The results obtained were compared with the stages of the development of metal production in Eastern Europe that additionally evidenced in favour of the validity of the model proposed.
