In the article, the Catalan literature in translations into Russian is
discussed. First of those translations began to emerge in Russian periodicals
in the end of the 19th century. Later, after a long-term break, translations
from Catalan have been published rather regularly since 1970-s, and
Russian-speaking translators often pay their attention to the works of a
Catalan poet Salvador Espriu. Two specialists, who used different approach
in translation, translated one of Espriuřs best-known poems into Russian
