The article deals with the nature of contemporary sports and its effect on psychophysiological state of the athletes. The biologically active substance (BAS) used as a compensation to restore or improve the emotional and physical capabilities of the organism of athletes is described. The BAS "Epsorin" made of natural northern plant materials, methods of its use by the athletes before the competition period and the results of the study are presented.
