The article deals with the adverbial participle forms of the agglutinative languages of the Altaic language family by the material of the Yakut, Khalkha Mongolian and Evenki languages. On the basis of the conducted analysis, the author seeks to identify some common typological features of the adverbial participle in agglutinative languages. In the work, the notion “adverbial participle” is specified, the need for which is dictated by discrepancy between the classical definition and the factual material of the considered languages. The adverbial participle forms are studied from the functional-semantic perspective, and the typology of their meanings is revealed.
