Presented below are the data of a comparative analysis of speech development in normally developing children and those having neurological disorders growing in families and in a children's home, during the first three years of life. The biggest difference shown occurs between speech development level in the children from the normal and deprivation group as to their comprehension of adult speech, the child's speech repertory, the real- ization of communication.
