Russian, as any other European language consists of varieties characteristic of different social groups and conditioned by social and cultural factors. The communication between the groups of speakers within the Russian language follows the socio-linguistic hierarchical system. The survey conducted among B.A. and M.A university students displays an attitude mostly negative to Russian regional dialects and their speakers, who are thought to be of low educational and cultural level.
