In this paper, the authors aim to study and describe the current problems and prospects of migration policy during the migration crisis on the example of the countries of the Scandinavian region: Sweden, Denmark and Norway. The focus of the author's attention falls on the period of the tightening of the migration policy in these countries, namely from 2014 to 2016. The authors identify the reasons for the mass immigration of the refugees from the African, South Asian and Middle Eastern regions to the Scandinavian region. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the trends in the migration policy of the national states in the designated period. The paper also attempts to assess the possible consequences of the migration crisis related to its impact on the social, economic, cultural and political development of the national states.
