The article deals with some aspects of the history of Islam in China, the emergence of immigrants who transmitted the Islamic knowledge, the formation of the Hui people, the activities of Sufi fraternities in China in the past and present. Special attention is paid to the shrines - mosques, kubbas and museums in Inchuan, which contain exhibits that highlight the life of the Islamic community in this region.
