The article presents a study of representations about establishing psychological contact with the interrogated in future investigators. It was revealed that the ideas about establishing a psychological contact with the interrogated among the first-year cadets are more focused on the psychological component, while the ideas of the senior cadets are focused on the criminalistic (procedural) one. It was also revealed that the establishment of psychological contact with the interrogated is, according to the cadets, a necessary condition for the interrogation. The article also describes the results of the analysis of ideas about establishing psychological contact with the interrogated, depending on the experience of cadets' participation in the interrogation, as well as taking into account the gender aspect. The interconnection of ideas about establishing psychological contact with the interrogated with the recognition of the ways of its establishment in cases is analyzed.
