Energy development is one of the key tasks for every country, because without energy it is difficult to imagine the development of industry, transport and all other areas of human activity. In the article cognitive predictors are considered that affect formation of a conceptual model of the control object among the personnel of electric grid companies. The factor analysis is carried out and structural features of the conceptual model of workers are established. The influence of verbal intelligence on the professional activities of personnel of electric grid companies is revealed. Recommendations on the training of personnel of electric grid companies have been developed.
