This study focused on developing a technique of structural framework building and uncertainty estimation of one of the Middle East oilfields. The investigated region is characterized by complex geological setting due to compound basin evolution through geological time. In these conditions high velocity variations are present in the subsurface, however the main issue of the given paper is another significant factor - change of stratigraphic patterns in the cross-section, which affects the interferential seismic response and may have a significant impact on the seismic interpretation. The paper considers an approach to uncertainty assessment of the kinematic seismic interpretation of a complex geological section by the example of one of the Middle East fields located in the fold and thrust belt of Western Zagros.
