On October 27, 2017, within the framework of the International Scientific and Cultural Forum “Days of Petersburg Philosophy-2017”, the Conflictology Department of the Institute of Philosophy of the St. Petersburg State University in cooperation with the non-profit organization Russian-Armenian Association of Lawyers “ARMROSS” and the Fund for the Development of Conflictology held a “round table” on the topic “Conflict paradigm of extremism and humanitarian and legal technologies for the settlement of the ethnopolitical conflict, the search for a scientific perspective”. More than forty people from three countries (Russia, Armenia and Bulgaria), representatives of the university family (St. Petersburg State University, UNECON, North-West Institute of Management, branch of RANEPA, Moscow State University, RANEPA, Perm National Research Polytechnic University, EU-Varna) participated in the round table, representatives of business and legal companies. The aim of the round table was to find ways to apply the theoretical findings of the conflictology department in analyzing and assessing the factors determining extremism, ethno-social and ethnopolitical conflicts, as well as in finding mechanisms for regulating ethno-social conflicts using legal and humanitarian technologies.
