The article analyzes the results of inter-faculty research at St. Petersburg University, associated with the identification of the needs of the younger generation relating to the urban environment and politics. The author notes the influence of the urban environment on the socialization of the individual, as well as identifies the factors that contribute to the neutralization of deviant and delinquent behavior among the younger generation of citizens.
