The article presents the results of discussions of young researchers on the
problems and prospects of cooperation between the EEA and SCO countries in
the information sphere. A permanent information platform for discussions is the section at the annual student scientific conference of the Institute «Higher School of Journalism and Mass Communications» of St. Petersburg State University «Media in the modern world. Young researchers». In the course of discussions, factors that contribute to or impede the establishment of a trusting attitude of the population of the partner countries to the integration process are identified.
