The article presents the results of the theoretical and empirical study of the individual psychological features of the coping behavior of ecologists from the position of the level theory of the personality of A.F. Lazursky. According to the cluster analysis the ecologists were distinguished into three groups, differing by the type of coping behavior (reactive, active, proactive). The correspondence of the reactive, active and proactive coping behavior of ecologists with the levels of personality functioning (A.F. Lazursky), the type of motivation (V.F. Chizh), and the ethical imperatives (S.L. Frank) was carried out.
