The article deals with the phenomenon of pronominal reference in Spanish. The study of these problems of reference carried out by the authors of psychosystematical approach excluding the data of modern Indo-European studies and ignoring a three-level semiotic analysis, leads either to disregard, or to a significant distortion of the data traditionally considered by the theoretical disciplines that define the phenomenon of reference itself.
