HIV infection is among the strongest risk factors of the tuberculosis infection. HIV epidemics provoked a dramatic rise in the incidence of tuberculosis worldwide. Also HIV infection increases the fraction of extrapulmonary tuberculosis forms including CNS lesions. Research of the tubercular neuroinfection forms seems to be an essential step on the way to appropriate treatment.
