The article is devoted to the personality of A. R. Gerstein, who held the post of military prosecutor of the Baltic Sea Naval Forces in the early 1930s. This work cannot be called a full-fledged biography, but rather it's the presentation of some information and episodes of a person's biography. Nevertheless, for the first time an attempt has been made to identify some areas of Gerstein's activities during his in office.
