The paper investigates the possibility of determining the parameters of a model of intermittent ionospheric turbulence employing the results of observations of fluctuations of transionospheric signals. Two types of intermittent turbulence models are considered: the lognormal model and the generalized She - Leveque model. Varying the model parameters allows specifying various regimes of intermittency, from its complete absence to very substantial. Simulation of signal propagation under the conditions described by the considered models has shown that the analysis of large-scale fluctuations of the phase of the transionospheric signal with scales larger than the Fresnel zone permits, in principle, for solving the inverse problem of estimating the parameters of a model of intermittent turbulence.
