The article shows the contribution of intermediary activity to inflationary processes in the modern Russian economy. The excessive number of intermediaries in the consumer market, who also occupy a dominant position, has an extremely negative effect on the price level, lengthens the time of sale of the mass of goods, and ultimately worsens the economic situation of both consumers and producers of products.
