Objective. To study modern strategies for pharmacological treatment and prevention of reperfusion-ischemia syndrome in percutaneous coronary intervention. Material and methods. Literature data were searched in the PubMed, Google Scholar and eLibrary databases.EN in accordance with PRISMA principles (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses). Results. We found numerous strategies for treatment and prevention of reperfusion-ischemia syndrome in percutaneous coronary intervention. However, there is no a single technique ensuring absolute effectiveness. Various approaches, such as antioxidants, medications improving microcirculation and even innovative methods are actively being developed. However, their results can vary depending on characteristics of patients, degree of ischemia and other concomitant factors. Conclusion. The number of clinical studies devoted to cardiac protection during percutaneous coronary intervention significantly increased in recent years. This indicates high interest of medical community in the study of reperfusion-ischemia syndrome.
