This article contains a brief overview of the history of the origin and development of the "agenda" theory; consideration of various concepts, classifications and points of view of scientists regarding the role of the "political agenda" during the election campaign; as well as information about the manifestation of the "agenda" in the conditions of "new media", the development of which makes significant adjustments to the foundations of this theory laid in the last century.
