Sustainability reporting at the present time is the most interesting stakeholder communications tool. This type of reports in the last few years has gained popularity among the leading domestic companies supporting the idea of sustainable development. Their number is growing every year. This method has several disadvantages such as a lack of common criteria and the frequent failure to comply with existing international and national standards. Study of the Russian companies sustainable development principles implementation on the nonfinancial reporting example (the foundation of which was Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs “National Register of Library and corporate non-financial reports”) shows the current status such corporate documentation. We have processed 165 sustainable development reports from the 510 non-financial reports of 136 companies, which were issued between 2000 and 2014.
The report discusses this study results. According to the content analysis results were constructed GibbsRozebom triangles reflecting reports on sustainable development TBL-positioning (in oil, gas and energy 7 sectors, metals and mining industry, chemical industry and food production, telecommunication sector, finance and insurance, transportation and other services). Were also examined nonprofit organizations and the industry sustainable development report. We have evaluated the non-financial reporting companies direction represented on each individual sector and the economy. This report presents identified sustainable development principles violation (communication, integration and system of sustainable development of the company), formulated
corporate activity issues and their solutions future possibilities.
