The results of the assessment of changes in the average annual water levels of eight major lakes in the world under the conditions of climate warming are presented. Long-term series of water level observations for the period from
1960 to 2016 were used as initial data. The homogeneity of long-term series and the significance of trends in these series are estimated. Quantitative estimates of changes in annual water levels of lakes for the period from 1980 to 2016 are obtained.
