The article shows dynamic of representation of Josip Broz Tito's image in soviet periodicals in 1943-1948. The author uses comparative historical method to analyze texts in soviet magazines and journals where one can find any mentions of Tito. It is concluded that the main reason of presentation of Tito in soviet periodicals was the fact of outstandingly successful anti-nazist resistance of Yugoslavian communists during the World War II. It is showed that the period when Tito was glorificated by the Soviet print media took place from the late 1943 up to middle 1948. Nevertheless even then the tone of these texts was a bit muffled, bringing the Yugoslavian representation of Tito's image down to the conventional image of a revolutionary leader. The main reason for that was an effort to avoid possible conflict between images of Josip Broz Tito and Iosif Stalin.
