The article considers the possibility of using the method of associative field
with a specific name in the analysis of literary text, demonstrates the algorithm of field analysis, criteria for selection of its associates, its interpretative potential is substantiated, analyzes the differences of the proposed variation of the
method of analysis of the associative field of the text from other similar techniques.
