The article is devoted to the descriptions of Sudan made by M. H. Haikal inhis travel notes on his visit to Sudan in 1926. His book is titles the “10 days in Sudan”. The work is written in a lively and vivid language, and describes economic projects implemented by the British on the Nile river, the colonialcapital of Sudan - Khartoum, as well as various aspects of society: transport,education, administration.
