The article is devoted to analysis of educational excursions and lessons (practice) when studying Russian as a foreign language. The comparative characteristics of genre characteristics, structural elements, didactic functions of these types of training activities is given. The author comes to conclusion about the importance to include educational excursions in teaching Russian as a foreign language.
