The issue of the creation of a single currency of the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean is considered. A method for constructing a stable “Latin American currency basket” is proposed on the basis of a simple and expanded model of exchange in a market in which a finite set of 29 national currencies of the regional block The Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, CELAC, is exchanged. The constructed currency basket can be used in the designated region as an indicator of the economic development, regional integration tool, be applied to a number of transactions between countries.
