The article is devoted to the problem of control results objectification in the form of checking each other, used in the process of multimedia studying. The study materials of online course "Language of modern journalism" on the platform "Open education", developed by the Faculty of SPbSU were used for research analysis . The article describes the problem of teaching how to train checking each other, the stages of incorporating such assignments in the course, starting from self-assessment tasks, training checking each other tasks and ending with control tasks. The effectiveness of tasks is shown with the help of tasks fulfilled results. The students forum gives possibility to evaluate the attitude of the students to this kind of controls. The conclusion about the validity of tasks on checking each other and the inclusion them as control tasks in distance course is given.
