The peculiarities of teaching the basics of medical informatics to medical students, revealed in recent
years due to the rapid and mass distribution of digital devices and the spread of information and communication
technologies into many spheres of life, are considered. The thesis that in medical schools the curricula, methods and
technical means of teaching these technologies need to be revised much more often and deeper than previously thought
is substantiated.
