The article discusses the conlang Uniling created by children of the 5th‒9th
grades in the linguistic section of an educational camp “Formula de Integreco” (2017‒2018).
The features and the process of its creating demonstrate that at the beginning children use
the law of economy as the main one making the phonetic and graphic images of the words
easier and reducing the set of grammatical categories. But later the esthetic and pragmatic functions of the conlang became more important and made children break their own
rules and try to turn them into new ones, while trying to grammaticalize the exceptions. As soon as the vocabulary and grammar of the conlang had found enough elements and links between different parts of speech, it became more independent from its natural language substrates.
