The contextual transformation of the phraseological units, based on actualization of the lexical meaning of its components or realization of semantic two-planned character of the idiom, being the favorite method of many poets, creates very serious, sometimes really insuperable obstacles for the translator. Even when the system of the target language has an absolute equivalent of the original fixed locution and similar transformational possibilities, their utilization quite often conflicts with versification laws that the master of poetic translation has to try to keep. In this article possible ways to reproduce the difficult phraseological transformations in Galician poetic diction, when translating into Russian, are analyzed.
