The article renders the current role of social democratic values in national
branding of Sweden. Expert community called to review public diplomacy after the
terrorist attack in Stockholm in 2017. However, Sweden resolutely continued to
use national branding strategies that had been proven for decades. The country's
position in the ratings of the most reputable countries has increased.
