The character of variations in the supramolecular structure and hydrophilic properties of the cotton and wood celluloses during its moistening was investigated using methods 1H-NMR relaxation and sorption measurements. The results indicate the dispersion of the cellulose crystallites and formation of additional capillary-porous system, which leads to increasing in the specific surface during the adsorption process.
