Nowadays the development of the digital economy is a relevant agenda in many countries. It is particularly urgent for the countries of South-East Asia like Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, which are one of the world's centers for the designing new technologies Despite the neighborhood and pretty common history of these countries, their capabilities and resources differ significantly, it leads to various approaches to creating a comprehensive digital economy The authors of the paper have analyzed the policies of Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia in creating a digital economy, and also have considered their influence on the same process in theMiddle East. As a result, the authors have identified the advantages and disadvantages of each of the listed countries digital economy policies and have outlined the effect of the geographical location and initial socio-economic conditions of the countries on their path and results of digital economy development.
