The authors discuss the network community media as a flexible space of communication. In this context, they specify the essential characteristics of community media and theoretical approaches to the study. The media of Russian-speaking communities in Finland and Lebanon formed object of the empirical study. On this experience a decisive influence of the conditions for the existence on the content and forms of online communication was revealed.
