The present paper examines so called dispositional reflexive (“feel-like”) constructions in Bulgarian (Raboti mi se) in terms of their contrast with the constructions involving personal and impersonal forms of the volition verb (iskam / iska mi se). Bulgarian models are compared to their Russian counterparts. The paper attests to the equivalence between the two languages in the area of personal and impersonal uses of verbs of volition, whereas significant differences are revealed between the Bulgarian dispositional construction and the Russian reflexive model with the dative subject, with regard to their semantics and construction generation patterns. The suggested translation decisions have been assessed against the data of the bilingual parallel corpus.
