Introduction. Involvement in the affairs of the educational organization and the learning process provides an opportunity to improve academic performance and psychological well-being of students. Predictors of involvement are numerous social and psychological phenomena. Personal factors are considered to be one of the significant predictors, the study of which is presented in the scientific literature by a limited number of works. The aim of the study was to identify personal factors that allow predicting the degree of involvement of students in the academic and social processes of the educational organization. Materials and methods. The study involved 65 cadets of the educational organization of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, average age 20.2 ± 0.9 years, (n = 65). The block of psychodiagnostic tools is presented by standardized methods: Individual-typological questionnaire (method of L.N. Sobchik), 16-factor personality questionnaire of Cattell, method of measuring loyalty of S.S. Baranskaya. Mathematical and statistical processing of the research results was carried out using the methods of descriptive, comparative (using Student's t-criterion), correlation (Pearson correlation coefficient) and one-factor analysis of variance. Results. The analysis of the obtained data showed that the predictors of involvement can be considered as personality traits expressed in the group of involved students in higher parameters of extroversion (6.53 ± 1.84) and low values of anxiety (3.6 ± 2.3) at p≤0.05. Differences were established between the groups of involved and uninvolved in the values of the personal characteristics of emotional stability (5.93 ± 1.9), dominance (7.0 ± 2.1), practicality (4.43 ± 1.5), creative and intellectual orientation (4.2 ± 1.3), stress resistance (4.18 ± 1.9). The group of involved students is distinguished by a higher level of personal potential, loyalty to the organization, profession and work, the presence of intellectual interests and personal meanings reflecting commitment to the values of professional activity. The influence of the properties of KEYWORDS extroversion, practicality, dominance, ego-tension on the parameters of involvement was established (Femp = 365.2 > Fcr = 3.98, p≤0.001). Statistically significant correlations were revealed between the values of the involvement indicator and the indicators of the personal factors of trustfulness (r = - 0.293, p≤0.05) and practicality (r = 0.298, p≤0.05). The obtained results allow us to predict trends towards independence and autonomy, stability and reliability in activities with a high level of involvement of students. Conclusion. Personal individual psychological characteristics that act as predictors of student involvement represent a systemic complex of psychodynamic and characterological indicators that are stable and formed at earlier stages of personality development, which predetermines professional choice. Commitment to the future profession and its values plays a significant role in the personal orientation of students, ensuring the formation of student involvement in the processes of the educational environment
