A number of the most widely used approaches to assessing the sustainability of enterprises are highlighted and problems of their application are identified. The need for a new approach to assessing the strategic sustainability of an enterprise based on changing the evaluation paradigm, establishing causes and effect relationships between its key parameters, strategic scenario foresight with use of digital models is substantiated.
