The work continues to study the linguistic and philosophical-anthropological aspects of adaptation in Russian of film terms borrowed from English. The expansion of this terminology system has been traced over the past ten years. Cinema as a cultural phenomenon and art form, as well as its effect on consciousness and language, were analyzed in the works of Bergson, Deleuze, and Lotman. Over the past three years due to restrictions caused by COVID pandemic, cinema has become the main available type of entertainment. The perception does not really depend on the form of demonstration: be it a traditional cinema or a home theater. Streaming services offer new content and new forms of its consumption; this is accompanied by the emergence of neologisms in the field of cinema (both art and industry). Semantic changes of the selected terms used in professional domain and General Russian are examined form synchronous and diachronic perspectives. The research revealed that the adaptation of English-language terms is influenced by external and internal factors caused by historical, socio-cultural, economic and political processes and national specifics.
